Rockstar’s new video is live

Rockstar released the Grand Theft Auto VI Launch Trailer on October 15. The official announcement puts Jason and Lucia back at the center of a criminal conspiracy across Leonida, and introduces new music rather than a new release date. You can watch the video through the official Rockstar link above.

The name matters when searching for it: Rockstar calls this the Launch Trailer. Its video page also lists the older Extended Look, Trailer 2 and Trailer 1. Those are separate videos, so an older upload resurfacing in a feed is not today’s release.

Justice leads the music reveal

The new single is Flower in a Hurricane, by Justice featuring Tame Impala, SZA and King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard. Rockstar identifies Justice as the composers of GTA VI’s original score.

The announcement also connects the single to GTA VI: The Album, with streaming pre-saves and vinyl or CD pre-orders available. Rockstar says more information about the game’s music, including the score album, is still to come. This announcement is therefore one piece of the music rollout, not a complete track listing.

The date and platforms remain November 19

Rockstar’s current announcement lists November 19, 2026 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. That is 35 days after today’s trailer. A launch trailer arriving today does not mean the game itself is available today.

PC players should keep this announcement separate from the recent reporting about a possible 2027 PC window. Today’s release post names the two console platforms and does not announce a PC launch date.

Frame by Frame Games’s read

The useful development here is the combination of a fresh official video and a specific music announcement while the console date stays unchanged. For anyone catching up, this is the current trailer to start with; the longer Extended Look remains a separate item in Rockstar’s video library. We will distinguish future platform announcements from reporting when updating our coverage.
