The first wave is ready
Nintendo launched the paid Expansion Pass for Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave on October 15, exclusively for Nintendo Switch 2. Its first wave is already available and supplies prototype weapons for the game’s four heroes. Those weapons are modeled after the Heroes’ Relics from Fire Emblem: Three Houses. The immediate addition is equipment, while the pass’s larger character and story additions remain scheduled for later releases.
Gods and outfits follow this winter
Wave 2 is scheduled for winter 2026. Nintendo says it will bring the aid of Aurora, Smyrnos and Jurah into battle, with the Philippine announcement specifying the story’s final act. Four new alternate outfits for heroes and allies are also planned. Nintendo has provided a seasonal window for this wave rather than an exact day, so owners should not expect those features to unlock alongside the first weapons.
A separate story arrives in 2027
The third wave is planned for 2027 and introduces new story content featuring Bertrand, Talimun, Orchel and Anatolia competing in the Heroic Games. Additional allies, classes and other content are included in that description, although Nintendo says more details will come later. The DLC extends a game built around four heroes, journeys across time and the effort to prevent a ruined future.
What purchasing the pass means
The full Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave game is required to use the DLC, and the individual waves cannot be purchased separately. Buying the pass provides access to its three releases as each becomes available; it does not make the later waves playable immediately. For players considering a return to Dagda, the practical choice is between using the new weapons now and waiting for more of the announced content to arrive.
