A date for the whole climbing party
PEAK is coming to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch 2 on October 22. Team PEAK announced the PS5 version on October 15, while Landfall’s official FAQ confirms all three console platforms. Crossplay will connect console players with one another and with the existing Steam community, making it easier to organize a group around the hardware friends already own.
A cooperative escape with consequences
Developed together by Aggro Crab and Landfall, PEAK casts players as stranded nature scouts whose escape route leads up a mountain. You can climb alone or form a party of four. Cooperation involves helping friends over ledges and placing equipment for the people following behind. Hunger, injuries and environmental hazards complicate the ascent, with setbacks reducing the stamina available for climbing.
Existing content joins the PS5 launch
The PlayStation announcement says the PS5 edition includes the content updates, biomes and items released since PEAK first arrived. It also describes customizable runs, allowing groups to adjust the challenge. That matters for friends who want a more forgiving outing as well as those seeking a harsher climb. The console announcement provides a release date, but the game is not available on those consoles yet.
A changing route, plus a maintenance commitment
Landfall’s game overview says the island layout rotates every 24 hours, so a successful route is not a permanent shortcut. Its FAQ also says PEAK has received its final major content update and that bug fixes and maintenance will continue until the team is satisfied with stability. The console arrival therefore opens the existing adventure to more players, with ongoing support rather than a newly announced content roadmap.
