Two exits with different conditions
Behaviour published patch 10.2.1 on October 14, 2026. The last human Survivor can choose Surrender if at least one bot remains. A Killer can choose End Trial when all remaining Survivors are bots; those bots no longer have to be in the Dying State.
These are separate conditions for each role. A trial containing another human Survivor does not meet the stated Survivor requirement. The notes also adjust The Mastermind’s Virulent Bound redirection and replace a depleted-power HUD symbol with a numerical zero.
Halloween stays inside the trial
Haunted by Daylight started October 13 at 11:00 a.m. Eastern Daylight Time (EDT, UTC−4). The separate Void Tile is absent this year. Opening a Void Rift creates a paired portal route that lasts for the trial; roaming Haunts hinder Survivors.
Players spend collected Void Energy directly on abilities. Survivor crystals provide smoke bombs or remote generator repair. Killers can launch Haunts and use faster Empowered Breaks. Survivors collecting energy through a portal risk the Killer teleporting to it.
Our analysis: the route is part of the decision
The important question is where a portal sends you relative to the unfinished generators and the current chase. An energy pickup can be attractive without being a safe retreat. Because the portals are paired, learning both endpoints is more useful than treating every opening as an interchangeable escape.
The end-of-trial changes solve a different problem: recognizing when the human contest has effectively finished. They should be read separately from the event’s movement choices. We have not tested either system in live trials; the in-game Gameplay Details provide the complete event rules.
